RV Mobile Service

"De-winterizing an RV" means the process of preparing your recreational vehicle for use after the winter by flushing out the antifreeze from the water system, checking all appliances and utilities, and inspecting the exterior to ensure it's ready for camping again, essentially reversing the steps taken to winterize it; this includes turning on the water pump, opening all faucets to let the antifreeze drain, and then running fresh water through the system to completely flush it out. Key points about de-winterizing an RV:

  • Water system flush: The primary step is to run fresh water through all faucets and plumbing lines to remove any remaining antifreeze.
  • Battery check: Ensure the battery is charged and properly connected, testing all electrical systems.
  • Propane system inspection: Check for leaks and ensure all propane appliances are functioning correctly.
  • Exterior check: Inspect the RV's exterior for any damage, including tires, seals, and lights.
  • Appliance testing: Turn on all appliances like the refrigerator, stove, and air conditioner to confirm they are working properly.
